Task: Create a record of my church's crawfish boil.
Applications: Final
Cut Pro 6, Photoshop CS3
Length 4:56
Notes: This was originally a class assignment, which called for a short film. I chose an event my church was hosting as it held great subject matter and also lasting appeal for the audience. The assignment called to have overlaying text and sound. Simple and sleek text with varying transitions were used and an actual recording of the church's worship team was used for the music.
Task: Green screen and multicam exercise using Tori Amos' media available online for a Youtube contest.
Applications: Final
Cut Pro 6
Length 4:19
Notes: This was my first green screen and first multicam assignment. The assignment was simple, use the five camera angles and chroma key out the green screen. This was an in class assignment so I left the white markers in the green screen. The clouds in the background were taken from a public domain resource site.
Task: Multicam exercise done for class, featuring a small band called Dead String Brothers.
Applications: Final
Cut Pro 6
Length 4:41
Notes: In an advanced media production class we filmed a live performance of a band with twelve different cameras. This is a cut I made using the first nine cameras. This project was never completed as the instructor leading it and guarding the media left the university where I studied.
Task: Honors College project, tell a story that relates to Alabama History for application in the class
room.
Applications:
Final Cut Pro 6, Photoshop CS3, Live Type
Length 10:06
Notes: Project completed for the University of Alabama Honors Program. I was assigned to this project at the last minute and given three days to sort hours of unorganized media with no script or time code to produce this semi-final project. Origins of all the media in this project are unknown to me; however, the still images used in this piece came from the Library of Congress archives. This project embraces a pseudo Ken Burns approach to the Civil War through usage of camera panning over still images.
